BRUSHES FOR WATER BOURNE, WATER BASED, ACRYLIC, URETHANE AND ENAMEL PAINTS

The specific density of water borne or water based paint is much heavier than lacquers & enamels. It is therefore necessary to use a brush with a little more body. Pure squirrel hair is fine for the lacquers & enamels, but a little too soft for the higher density water borne paints. We have developed a brush with a synthetic hair mixture to give you the desired hair weight for water borne paints. This brush can be used with enamels and urethanes. We suggest that you dedicate a specific brush to the medium that you are using.

Mixture Of Squirrel Hair & Taklon

This brush is similar to our Fast-Lite Pinstriping Brush, but with mixed hair to give the brush more body. Water-base paint has a higher density so mixing taklon with pure squirrel gives the brush body and snap. A generous amount of pure squirrel ensures the brush can carry enough paint to make it a good striper. Available in sizes 00, 0, 1 & 2 (see chart below)
